# Performance

We use CometBFT (a fork of Tendermint consensus) as the consensus mechanism for our protocol. This provides instantaneous finality and consensus on Musafir’s ledger state machine. CometBFT also supports Delegated Proof of Stake (DPoS) consensus mechanisms, a natural fit for Musafir’s validators to accept restaked $ETH delegations.
